Julia’s Butterfly Foundation Annual Dinner

EVENT RECAP: Julia’s Butterfly Foundation Annual Dinner

The Fabulous Foods Event Team is ecstatic to share an inside peek into one of our recently produced events in honor of Julia’s Butterfly Foundation. Check out the following event elements that beautifully tied this very special evening together, and left lasting impressions on the guests and hosts alike. We are already looking forward to next year’s dinner!

Red Carpet Entrance

First impressions are key to the success of an event. A red carpet entrance makes guests feel they are taking part in an exclusive, high-end event. Notice the custom logo step & repeat backdrop –this is an important element because it effortlessly represents the purpose of the event! Paparazzi & other media figures’ presence add an unmatched “GLAM” factor right off the bat!

A “First Class” Greeting

It is vital to make sure all your guests feel comfortable and welcome. Upon entering the event, offer a signature cocktail that represents the purpose of the affair or a glass of infused champagne! By incorporating this classy feature, guests will also begin to understand the tone of the event & eagerly make predictions about what the rest of the evening will bring!

The Space

The choice of venue is always a key component of the event. In this case, the event was meant for an intimate 40 guests. The space was large enough to accommodate everyone comfortably, but small enough to produce the exclusive vibe they desired. Notice the space has many high- end features for guests to admire such as Luxury Vehicles displayed, LED lighting & Modern Décor.

A Personal Touch

By incorporating elements such as Seating Cards & Designed Table Numbers, it positively affects the flow of the evening. Guests will already know where they are going to sit & there will be no commotion or disorganization to distract the enjoyment of the night. By providing a menu at each placement, you allow the guests to view and anticipate what to expect with each course.

Décor

Flowers bring the room to life—be sure to choose a design that corresponds with the style of the event & compliments the space! In this case, our floral designer decided to incorporate vibrant colors that are reminiscent of the LED lighting and would “POP” with color & style! She also incorporated modern style candles to warm up the space.

The Menu

[Hors d’oeuvres] Passed Butler Style & Culinary Station

[Chilled Caviar & Premium Vodka Ice Display]

It’s no secret that the food is what truly makes the event. Be familiar with your guests and accommodate their palates. For example, if you have adventurous eaters, take them on a culinary ride. If the crowd seems to be a bit more conservative, plan the menu accordingly!

7 Course Seated Dinner

[Fig & Prosciutto] Honeydew, Opal Basil & Balsamic Reduction

[Soup Shooter Trio]  Cucumber Gazpacho, Beet with Goat Cheese Espuma & Heirloom Tomato Basil

[Salad] Frisee, Mache, Red Oak, Nasturium, Cucumber, Watermelon Radish, Candied Pecans & Citrus Vinaigrette

[Pasta] Pistachio Pesto Spaghetti, Parmesan Reggiano & Pea Tendrils

[Miso Glazed Black Cod] Baby Bok Choy, Charred Scallions & Grilled Maitake Mushrooms

[Beef Short Rib] Glazed Baby Carrots, Wilted Spinach & Yukon Gold Potato

[Espresso Chocolate Soufflé] Orange Zest Crème & Raspberries

[Brown Butter Blueberry Cake] French Vanilla Ice Cream, Bourbon Caramel & Blueberries

**Each of the courses above was complimented with a Premium Wine Pairing**

When providing a multi-course seated dinner, each dish should boast to be more beautiful than the next. Presentation is just as important as flavor! Plates should be skillfully designed and comparable to a work of art, as it is!

Entertainment

Nothing resonates with guests quite like genuinely having an absolute blast. Provide special entertainment that allows your guests to participate and feel like part of the event. They will go home raving!

Professional & Experienced Staff

[Front & Back of the House]

A solid staff serves as the foundation of the event. They should be confident & experienced within their designated roles whether that may be as a server, bartender, chef or utility support. In addition to experience, they should remain friendly with a positive attitude at all times throughout the span of the event!
