You’ve heard about the craze, you know, the green one. Greens may or may not be your thing but there are amazing playful ways to fit them into your diet!
Kale smoothies are fun, fruity, and green. The best thing about these smoothies is that you can pull anything from your fridge, freezer, or pantry!
Here’s my little blurb, though, I add a splash of Orange Juice to every smoothie I make. The tart taste of the juice cuts through in the smoothie and makes it more refreshing to drink! And all the ingredients in these recipes are to your own preference!
Classic Strawberry and Banana Kale Smoothie
A bunch of Ribbed Kale*
Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
Fresh or Frozen Banana
Any kind of yogurt (Greek, Vanilla, etc)
Orange Juice
Citrus Infused Kale Smoothie
A bunch of Ribbed Kale*
Fresh or Frozen Pineapple Chunks
Oranges
Apple (Green, but any to your preference)
Any kind of yogurt
Orange Juice
Healthy Energy Kale Smoothie
A bunch of Ribbed Kale*
Avocado
Banana
Whey
Pineapple
Chia Seeds
1%, 2%, Skim or Whole Milk, Almond Milk, Soy Milk, or Coconut Milk
Or Greek Yogurt
*To rib a piece of kale, grab the stem so it points outwards. Use your index and third finger to wrap around the stem, apply some pressure, and drag your hand down towards the leafy part of the kale. You should have a cleanly ribbed piece of kale!
